AGTA President Bruce Bridges has been elected to the Board of Directors of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation. The election took place during CIBJO’s Centennial Congress in Vicenza, Italy.
Bridges, who is also President of Bridges Tsavorite, joins the international organization’s board at a time when AGTA has been expanding its involvement in global trade issues, including its recent efforts surrounding gemstone tariffs.
“We are in a global industry and Bruce’s service on the CIBJO Board will expand AGTA’s international presence and promote AGTA’s high ethical standards,” said AGTA CEO John W. Ford, Sr.
The appointment gives AGTA an additional voice within an organization that brings together jewelry and gemstone associations from around the world and works on standards, responsible sourcing, transparency and other issues affecting the global trade.
