One of the British royal family’s most trusted jewellers for decades has found a way to put a modern spin on a vintage high jewellery brooch once owned and adored by Queen Elizabeth II.

The piece that inspired the designers was a double clip aquamarine and diamond brooch. It was originally purchased in 1937 by Prince George, Duke of Kent (uncle of Elizabeth II), at Boucheron’s London store.

Queen Elizabeth II received the brooch as a gift on her 18th birthday. She had worn it on a number of occasions, including the 70th anniversary of her coronation in 2022. (This is the image above.)
