Timothée Chalamet set out to make a lasting impression at the Wonka world premiere and that’s exactly what he did.
Back in November, the leading man, who portrays the famous chocolatier in the new prequel film, attended the official premiere at the Royal Festival Hall in England. (The film follows the origin story of Willy Wonka and how he became one of the most famous candy makers in the world.)
Chalamet certainly dressed the part, fully embodying the candy inventor. The 27-year-old actor walked the red carpet wearing a pink suit designed by Tom Ford. To tie the entire outfit together, he sported chocolate brown Chelsea boots.
Chalamet, a house ambassador for the jewelry brand, collaborated with Marie-Laure Cérède (aka the founder and creative director of Cartier) on creating the piece for the event. As for what it was like being a part of such a big project? The Wonka star described it as being “beyond anything I could have dreamt”.
He continued, “I’ve always just loved jewelry with a meaning, whether that’s a wired bracelet from a special trip, or something intimate I would have received from a family member.”
(Note: Since the premiere, the Cartier necklace has become a part of The Cartier Collection and will be shown on display in the brand’s jewelry exhibits.)
That’s one dazzling piece of neckwear.
