The exhibition “Garden of Green, Exquisite Jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels” gives pride of place to 44 creations presented at the prestigious American Museum of Natural History in New York. For the first time in these premises, pieces from the patrimonial collection as well as loans compose a verdant rainbow, on display from June 10, 2023 to January, 2024.

A symbol of lush vegetation and vitality, the green color unfolds its thousand shades on a variety of precious and ornamental stones held dear by the Maison. While the first showcase reveals a selection of jewelry pieces set with diverse green stones, the following ones concentrate each on a single material, highlighting its specific beauty. Fresh green jadeite jade goes along dark green malachite striated with white, while radiant peridot contrasts with chrysoprase and green chalcedony. As a grand finale, the last showcase displays a selection of majestic creations set with emeralds – the precious stone known for its inclusions poetically called jardins, “gardens” in French.
