Chanel’s Kashmir High Jewelry: The “Sport Collection” with an Amazing Suite of Sapphires … and also Sports the Baguette!

The Haute Joaillerie “Sport Collection” celebrates the sports style of Chanel, anchored in the house’s history since the 1920s.

“An unprecedented encounter between two worlds, where elegance and excellence prevail. Designed to become one with the wearer, each high jewelry creation expresses the contours of an allure, according to Chanel – that of a woman always on the move.”

GRAPHIC LINE NECKLACE

Crafted to enhance the freedom of the body and the grace of movement, the graphic line necklace is set with a 10.15 carat cushion-cut sapphire, sourced from an exquisite set of Kashmiri stones. The chevron motif and gradation of 24.35 carats of baguette-cut rubies in pure, simple lines evoke rhythm and speed. The Chanel fine jewelry creation studio took on the challenge of making the reverse side of the necklace just as beautiful as the front, displaying the name of the house on the back of the piece (as if it were readable from the front) – a first in Chanel High Jewelry.

GRAPHIC LINE RING

Adorned with a center 6.36 carat Kashmir sapphire, the graphic line ring is accentuated by 2 rows of diamonds, one of which plays with the shapes and brilliance of the gemstones. A row of made-to-measure baguette sapphires lends structure to the creation and emphasizes it graphic style.

EXCEPTIONAL SAPPHIRES FROM KASHMIR

It took over five years to assemble this unique set of sapphires from Kashmir, harmonized in color, size, shape, crystal quality, and the interplay of brilliance. A priceless and unparalleled collection of 5 cushion-cut sapphires, including 3 stones weighing 17.18 carats, 10.15 carats, and 6.36 carats, as well as a matched pair weighing 4.40 carats and 4.77 carats, totaling 42.86 carats. WOW!

UNRIVALED CREATIVITY AND SAVOIR-FAIRE

A manifesto of absolute artistic creativity, Chanel high jewelry is the fruit of a meeting of incomparable skills. From sketch to fabrication, the creation studio and the artisans in the workshops at Place Vendome in Paris bring to life the most precious materials, meticulously sourced to achieve the highest aesthetic and quality standards.

WHAT HAS HIGH JEWELLERY TO DO WITH SPORTS?

For the less imaginative among us, “nothing” could well be the answer. But for luxury French maison Chanel, “a lot” is more like it.

And that is exactly what it has demonstrated in its latest collection, Haute Joaillerie Sport (Sport High Jewellery), which looks back at the sporting style of its charismatic founder, Gabrielle Chanel, for inspiration.
