In this presentation, we will review the process for researching comparables, specifically for antique jewelry, focusing on what constitutes a close comparable and how to adjust for differences between the comparable and the subject property. Utilizing multiple examples of common items an appraiser sees in their everyday practice, we will illustrate the analysis process, and hope to increase confidence in your secondary market value conclusions.
