World Diamond Council Past-President To Give Keynote Address At CGA 65th Anniversary Conference, October In Vancouver, BC
Edward Asscher, Past-President of the World Diamond Council will give the keynote address to the Canadian Gemmological Conference October 20-22.
Since 1854, the world famous Asscher family has helped create history’s most iconic jewels favored by royalty. The Asscher family is well known for cutting the Cullinan diamond in 1907 and for developing the ever-popular Asscher cut. Edward’s warmth, wisdom, wit and passion are felt throughout the trade.
Almost 100 years after the original Asscher cut was produced, Edward and his cousin Joop, redesigned the Asscher cut by adding 16 facets to it. The 74 facet Royal Asscher Cut is ravishing, catching the eye with the brilliance of a round brilliant cut and mesmerizing it with the rainbow effects of the emerald cut.
Edward will discuss the challenges and opportunities that face the trade today.
